These partnerships support affordable housing development of AHFC-owned properties with rental and owner-occupied housing reserved for low-income households.

2200 Doris Drive

Status: Submission period is closed. Submissions were due by 2 p.m. CST on April 8, 2025 via email. 

The Austin Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC) released a competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) to identify a construction vendor for the Doris Hathaway Tract Development located in Northwest Austin at 2200 Doris Drive. Construction will include the installation of concrete and asphalt pavement, wastewater main and services water services, storm sewer, and associated traffic and erosion controls.

AHFC held a mandatory pre-proposer conference at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at 1000 East 11th Street, Suite 400 for firms who desired to submit a proposal.

To be considered for award, complete responses had to be submitted to the AHFC by 2:00 p.m. CST on April 8, 2025. Interested vendors were required to submit a cover letter in addition to the Submittal Requirements. Only email submissions were accepted.

The Austin Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC) released a competitive Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to identify a preferred development partner to develop, own, and operate a proposed approximately 300-unit multifamily apartment at 6909 Ryan Drive, a 5.5-acre AHFC-owned property located in the Crestview neighborhood of central Austin.

AHFC conducted public engagement between October to December 2023 to identify community priorities and sentiments, building upon the significant community engagement work done for Austin Energy’s prior solicitation. Through this process, it was determined that the community remained committed to prioritizing affordable housing, park space, and connectivity to transit. Drowsy Willow

This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to identify a preferred developer to identify a developer to contract with AHFC to develop approximately 30 to 50 units of attached and detached housing on a 2.7-acre property owned by AHFC located at 5901 Drowsy Willow Trail in south Austin. Once completed, these homes will be sold by AHFC to households earning no more than 80% of Austin’s Median Family Income (MFI) as part of AHFC’s Community Land Trust.

5900 S. Pleasant Valley Road

This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to identify a preferred developer to partner with AHFC to develop, own, and operate a proposed approximately 90 to 100-unit multifamily apartment on a 2.5-acre property owned by AHFC located at 5900 South Pleasant Valley Road in south Austin. Later this year, AHFC will release a separate RFQ to identify a preferred developer to partner with AHFC to develop approximately 40 to 50 units using AHFC’s community land trust (CLT) model on the eastern lot (Block 4, 5901 Drowsy Willow Trail).
